2016 WR Shines At Buckeye Camp

If there's anything Urban Meyer has become known for in the past decade, it's how much he loves raw speed at the wide receiver position. At last Friday's Ohio State camp, sophomore wideout Desmond Fitzpatrick impressed the Buckeye staff with several outstanding plays.

Farmington Hills (MI) wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick is a top 2016 prospect, and the sophomore has impressed at several different camp appearances this summer.

Fitzpatrick, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, shined last Friday at the Ohio State summer camp, making several outstanding catches and running by people with his speed. He picked up two MAC offers at the camp to go along with his Indiana offer.

"Toledo and Ohio University both offered me," Fitzpatrick stated. "I don't know too much about either school to be honest, but I'm very excited to receive those offers. Their coaches were very nice to me and showed me a lot of things."

Several other coaching staffs have been impressed with Fitzpatrick this summer.

"I was at Michigan last summer and did well," he added. "I would say that three other schools showing interest would be Maryland, Tennessee and Ohio State, who spent a lot of time with me today. Ohio State said they were very impressed today, and they want to see my film from next season. It was great working out in front of Urban Meyer."

"I try to run great routes and I have good body control, and I think I have really good hands," Fitzpatrick stressed. "Next week, I'm going to visit both Michigan and Michigan State, and I like both schools a lot."
