Rising Stars Camp to host lots of talent

Over the next four days, Washington will play host to quite a few talented players at the Rising Stars Camp. Here's a look at just a handful of the top talent that is either already in town or headed to the Emerald City...

It's expected that close to 100 kids with FBS offers are expected to be in town over the next four days.

Here's a look at just a few we have been able to either confirm or have heard will be in attendance...

Foothill (Santa Ana, Ca.) LB Bobby Okereke - The athletic linebacker prospect has offers from Boise State, California, Colorado, Harvard, Nevada, Northwestern, Oregon, San Diego State, San Jose State, Stanford, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington and Yale and is close to narrowing things down. His trip north will play a huge part in his decision-making process.

Centennial (Peoria, Az.) OT Layth Friekh - Friekh is making his second or third trip north to check out Washington and is very high on the Dawgs. He has offers from the Huskies as well as Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State and Utah. He's expected to arrive later tonight and probably will take part in camp on Friday.

Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Ca.) S Jonathan Lockett - Lockett is bringing his family (both parents) and that is huge for Washington. He is planning on making his decision at The Opening next week and appears to be down to Washington and Oregon. He will visit Oregon this weekend, so the Ducks could be in prime position to snatch him away from the Dawgs, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Sabino (Tucson, Az.) OT Andrew Mike - Mike has been to Seattle once before and will make another trip up to take part in camp. He's got offers from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, California, Colorado State, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Oregon State, Penn State, San Diego State, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt and Washington and appears to be favoring the Dawgs right now.

Bishop Dunn (Dallas, Tx.) S Payton Hendrix - The Huskies been putting in work in the Lonestar State and Hendrix liked what he heard so much that he decided to come up a day early and spent time at Washington yesterday and will take part in camp today and possibly tomorrow. How the next couple of days go could be a big determinant on where Hendrix ends up as he'll no doubt spend some time with Trevor Walker who enrolled early at Washington and could see some playing time this fall.

Coolidge (Az.) RB J.T. Gray - Another running back with a Husky offer, Gray will take part in camp with the hopes of improving his position on Washington's list. He has offers from Washington as well as Arizona, Arizona State, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Iowa State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Oregon State, USC and Utah.

Freedom (Oakley, Ca.) RB Joe Mixon - Mixon is at the top of Washington's list as far as tailbacks are concerned and he's been in Seattle for the past few days checking things out. We have been under the impression that he will take part in at least one day of the Rising Stars camp, but we haven't been able to confirm that news, so we won't know until we see who is at the camp.

Magnolia (Anaheim, Ca.) S Jamal Scott - Scott doesn't have an offer from UW just yet, but with a great performance over the next couple of days, you can definitely expect him to get a long look from the staff. He does have offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Houston, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State and Utah with plenty more schools showing him interest as well.

Corona (Ca.) Centennial CB John Plattenburg - As we've been saying for a while, Plattenburg is making the trip north with his father in order to check out Washington and take part in camp. He's one of the top corners on the west coast and definitely has a spot waiting for him should he decide he wants to commit. He has offers from the likes of Arizona State, Baylor, Boise State, California, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Washington, Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, Mississippi, Nevada, San Diego State, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah, Washington State and appears have started to narrow things down to a top 10 which includes the Huskies.

Hart (Newhall, Ca.) TE Davis Koppenhaver - Koppenhaver has seen his stock rise over the past couple of months and he's hoping to put himself onto Washington's radar with a good performance this week. He's long and athletic, but he's a project that needs to put on at least 30 to 40 pounds before he plays, so it's hard to tell if he will be in Washington's plans.

Federal Way (Wa.) ATH Chico McClatcher - A 2015 kid who Washington offered very early on and one to keep an eye on over the next few months. He may wait to make his decision until next summer, but the Huskies definitely hold the lead at this point and it wouldn't surprise much if he shut things down before his season and committed to the Dawgs, much like Rahshead Johnson did last year at the Rising Stars Camp.

Marysville (Wa.) Pilchuck RB Austin Joyner - Joyner is another 2015 local prospect who has an offer from the Huskies and word is that he plans to be in camp this week at some point. We shall see. He isn't big on talking to the media, so it's tough to get a read on his plans. He's got offers from Washington as well as Oregon State, Washington State and Portland State and many more schools could extend him offers with a big junior season.

**We have also heard that the three players currently committed to the Huskies -- Johnson, Don Hill and Chase Blakley -- are expected to be in town as well.

It should be a great four days for the Huskies to show off their campus and their new facilities as well as having the chance to meet with some of the top players on their radar. We'll know soon enough if a couple are impressed enough to make their decisions.
