"The biggest thing that I've learned from these coaches is character, about how you carry yourself around people, because you always have somebody watching you."
Throughout his recruitment, the 6-foot, 165-pound defensive back has had sort of a fluid top four, with different schools leading at different times. Most recently, he named Vanderbilt and Louisville as his top two, but now he's keeping five equally in the picture.
"Now, it's kind of like a solid five, so I'm kind of evening out the playing field, I'm really talking to them all right now, and I'm going to try to narrow it down after that."
The Armwood (Seffner, FL) standout will visit the Commodores on July 12th and he hopes to get up to see Louisville this summer too. Other than that, he doesn't have any set plans yet.
What will it take for one school to separate itself from the pack?
"I don't even know (what it will take). I just think it's going to be on me mainly, more than the school," Gibson said.
"I'm just going to take my time because I don't want to rush it. Something always happens if you rush it and make a bad decision, and I don't want to be a decommit guy, so I'm taking my time."
