Corey Holmes enjoyed his time at The Opening, but still found himself discouraged when he was sidelined most of the time with a hamstring injury. Still, he tried to make the best of the experience.

"My goal the whole time was to come out and showcase my skills and match up against the top talent in the country and I haven't been able to do that, so it's been kind of disappointing. I just want to get this hamstring injury right and be good for the season," he said.

The St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) standout is wanted by many programs and could be making a decision soon

"I have two that I'm really focused on, and then I have two to fall back on if things don't work out. So it's kind of like a top four," he said.

Those top two are Notre Dame and UCLA, and the next in line are Florida and Oklahoma. Holmes has visited Notre Dame several times, and really likes the Irish program. A lot is riding on his July 9th visit to UCLA.

"I just want to be able to meet the coaches in person. I've been talking to them on the phone and everything. I hope to meet some players that are on the football team, and just get a feel for the campus, get a feel for what it would be like to be a student athlete there," he said.

"If I like UCLA, then I'll probably take my time, going into the fall, take my official visits, things like that. If I don't, then I'd say a decision will probably come soon after that."

FOX Sports NEXT will have the latest on the four-star wide receiver and his recruitment, so stay tuned right here.
