Commitment Look Back: Aaron Sharp

FOX Sports NEXT has a quick breakdown on the newest recruit to join the Kansas State football team, Summer Creek quarterback Aaron Sharp from Humble, Texas. He should be a nice addition to the Wildcat program. Why you ask? Check out this premium feature and find out.

Aaron Sharp

Humble (TX) Summer Creek

Chosen over Baylor, Ole Miss, Utah, Texas

Run Down: One of the more interesting recruitments in years, Sharp seemed to all set to make his commitment to Utah at the end of June. In fact, he did that on the final Saturday of the last weekend in June. But that commitment was short lived as Sharp, along with his family decided that it would be in his best interest to play for Kansas State, a team in the Big 12 Conference. It was stated that this would give his family a better opportunity to see him play more often as opposed to playing on the west coast for a Pac-12 team.

What this means for Kansas State: This program has done well with quarterbacks, one of which was a Heisman Trophy finalist a year ago. Under the direction coach Bill Snyder, Sharp will be able to work with one of the top coaches in college football. On top of that, the offense of Kansas State will bode well with Sharp's skill set. Overall, it is a good fit.

In the Words of Sharp: "That was a tough call that I had to make to the Utah coaches telling them I had to decommit. I mean when I went out to Utah it felt like home to me. It was a big-time family decision. I'm committed to Kansas State. I'm just glad it's over now."
