Solt's Sixth

Gainesville (FL) High School linebacker Matt Solt picked up his sixth offer earlier today. Solt is a rising senior.

Matt Solt of Gainesville (FL) High School had a feeling that is sixth offer was right around the corner. Today that feeling became a reality. The 6-foot-2 and 210-pound linebacker thought that offer might come from Cincinnati but instead it was Middle Tennessee who extended the scholarship offer.

"Coach Watts (MTSU wide receiver Coach Justin Watts) from Middle Tennessee just offered me a scholarship," said Solt of his sixth offer. It feels good to know that the staff thinks that highly of me as a player. I am excited to see how the rest of July plays out."

The rising senior already held offers from Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Florida Tech, Iowa State and Old Dominion. Solt had stated last week that FAU and Iowa State were his top two and given the fact that Middle Tennessee is an established FBS program you would have to think the Blue Raiders would join those two programs as the front runners for the linebacker.

The aggressive linebacker is planning on camping at Cincinnati on July 19th and is going to try to make an unofficial visit to Iowa State before pre-season practice begins. The list of schools that are actively recruiting Solt without an offer are; Cincinnati, Duke, Indiana, Marshall, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.

Look for more updates as the summer camp season continues as we hit mid-July.
