Texas 7v7: DII – Lived Up to the Hype

ROUND ROCK, Texas – FOX Sports NEXT/Scout.com Midlands team of analysts and reporters talk about a few prospect who have been labeled as top players and proved, once again, that they are.

By Greg Powers:
QB Foster Sawyer (6'5, 215) - All Saints - 2014
He started off slow but kept his composure and heated up steadily throughout the day. He was hitting his peak in the day's last game flashing a big arm and threading the ball in to tight spaces. The TCU commit has prototype size.

S Kendall Adams (6'1, 190) - All Saints – 2014
There may not be much hype about him going on recruiting wise (still baffling that he has such a limited amount of offers as Adams is clearly one of the best secondary players in the state), but the FOX Sports NEXT crew from the Metroplex have been high on Adams for some time. And even though I trust in colleagues, it was nice to see for myself. Overall, the kid is solid and is just in the right position to make plays. Period.

QB Foster Sawyer (6'5, 215) - All Saints - 2014
Foster Sawyer never disappoints. At 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, with a cannon of an arm, the pro-style quarterback continues to show accuracy and a quick release every time out. An offensive orchestrator, Sawyer proved Thursday that he could very easily step into TCU in a year and compete for that starting role in the pocket.

By Annabel Stephan:
QB Jarrett Stidham (6'4, 190) – Stephenville – 2015
No question that Stephenville (Tex.) 2015 quarterback Jarrett Stidham lived up to the hype in all three games on Thursday. The athlete showed off his big arm throughout the day, displaying an ability to both control and extend the play, especially during an overtime win versus Fairfield in game two. With Stidham at quarterback, Stephenville has a good chance of winning the whole tournament.
