Harris Plans Big Dawg Trip

Grant Harris of Clinton High School has quietly become one of the state of Mississippi's most sought after college football prospects. With eight college options in hand, Harris has some thinking to do. With a trio of camping trips already under his belt, Harris has one more summer college workout planned before turning his full attention towards his senior campaign.

"So far, I have been to Alabama, Louisiana Tech and Memphis for camps," said Harris. "I am going over to Mississippi State next week for the Big Dawg camp.

"I am looking forward to going to that camp and working with the coaches and talking with them about Mississippi State.

"I am sure I am going to have a good time when I get over there.

"I am excited about competing and getting to know the coaches better."

The Bulldogs are one of eight schools to offer and one of three schools that appears to be making Harris a priority target.

"The schools that are recruiting me the hardest are Southern Miss, Mississippi State and probably Miami," said Harris. "I don't really have any favorites right now.

"I am going to try to narrow it down to about three or four schools and then make a decision after the season."

Speaking of the season, the three star talent believes that his Arrow squad can be a good one this fall.

"I have been working out and just trying to get better," said Harris. "The team is working hard and I believe we have the chance to be a pretty good team this year.

"We have a lot of talent coming back and I feel like we have a chance to really make some noise this year.

"I know we're going to be a lot better team than we were last year."
