Padla Waits On Spartans

For offensive lineman Nick Padla there may only be one school out there that can change the direction of his recruitment. Spartan Digest caught up with Padla for the latest developments in his recruitment.

Monday afternoon found Berrien Springs (Mich.) offensive tackle Nick Padla adding an offer from Cincinnati to his list.

While Padla is high on the Bearcats after camping there on Friday night, there is still a program out there he's waiting to hear more from.

"I've been talking to Coach (Mark) Staten at Michigan State," said Padla. "He's been saying they are waiting to watch film from my first scrimmage and first game and we'll see from there."

If the Spartans offer Padla could quickly end his recruitment.

"Michigan State is a dream school for me," he said. "I live close by and Coach Staten is from around here. If they offer me, I'm sure I would be committing there soon.

"If they don't offer, I'll probable commit somewhere else and do it that second weekend of the season."

Padla has impressed at several camps in the past several months and is a true tackle prospect.

Spartan Digest will continue following the latest developments involving the Spartans and Padla in the coming weeks.
