Mammoth offensive linemen Demetrius Knox -- A Scout.com 4-star OG from Fort Worth, Texas -- has committed to play at the Ohio State University...

Demetrius Knox, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive lineman from Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints made it official on Sunday that he had committed to Ohio State, his childhood favorite.

"I commit to THE Ohio STATE BUCKEYES," Knox exclaimed via his Twitter account (@Ummm_Mr_Knox).

Knox, who grew up in the 'Miami Valley' in Southwest Ohio admitted that it has always been his dream of playing in the scarlet and gray jersey.

"Ever since second grade it has been Ohio State," Knox confirmed in an interview earlier in July. "I have thought about it. Dominate in high school and go to Ohio State and then go to the NFL."

"They have always been the home school and it has been a dream, but it is not just football you have to think about."

Schools such as Florida State, UCLA, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon and Alabama also offered.

Knox battled through injuries as a junior in 2012 but helped lead his team to a perfect season and a SPC Championship.

He is rated as a Scout.com four-star prospect, the No. 6 offensive guard nationally.

Scout Eval - Knox had to deal with some injuries as a junior, mostly a lower back injury which cost him playing time. Plays tackle in high school, but will likely be a guard in college. He has a nice frame for adding more weight and is very athletic for an OL. He moves really well, especially laterally. Looks like he could be a good basketball player if he was taller, but has that type of athleticism or look about him. Long arms and quick feet. Will like to see how he develops and if he can stay healthy in 2013. Has great upside, which his high ranking suggests, but needs to develop more consistency snap to snap.
