Visit to Favorite for Ugwoegbu

FOX Sports NEXT caught up with Seven Lakes defensive Bright Ugwoegbu from Katy, Texas. The talented secondary player has his first official visit planned.

It seems as though the favorite remains the same. But the other two top programs for Katy (TX) Seven Lakes safety Bright Ugwoegbu has changed.

Now, along with Oregon State, Wake Forest and Fresno State round out the Top 3. Overwhelmingly, the Beavers lead the pack.

"I changed my Top 3. They are in that (listed above) order," Ugwoegbu said. "All three have great programs and I like that I can do big things within my early years."

And that, along with being the biggest program and the one whom which he has the closest coach connections, is just a few of the reasons why Oregon State sits atop the list for the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Ugwoegbu.

Outside of the three Houston, Arkansas State and SE Louisiana have also offered as well. For Ugwoegbu, his next move will be to make more visits. This time it will be official. And based n the flow of the feature, it's pretty evident what program will get the first.

"I plan to visit Oregon State three weeks into the season. I will be down there September 7," Ugwoegbu said. "I will likely decide sometime during the season. I'm nearly positive that this (OSU) is where I want to go, but I have to make sure."

Last season, Ugwoegbu recorded 54 tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception.
