"I had never really talked to their coaches until that camp," said the guard of his experience with the Gator coaches. "I performed pretty well and he (Gator offensive line coach Tim Davis) pulled me off to the side and got all my information. He was asking who I was and what school I went to. He also said that he was going to recruit me heavily this fall; he wants to see some senior film."
Harrell has been impressive enough this summer in camps that he will have a lot more eyes on him in the fall.
"Recruiting is going pretty well. I've got a couple of offers right now and I'm looking for more. There is always ways I can improve. A lot of the coaches have liked me once I got to camp and now they want to see what I can do once the season starts. After that I should get a lot more (offers)," said Harrell.
One other stop on Harrell's camp tour in June was Kentucky and the Wildcats have Harrell in their sights.
"Kentucky hasn't offered yet. They said they are really close. They said they are just seeing what some other guys do. Yesterday one of the guys that was ahead of me committed to Virginia Tech so I'm just moving up. They said it should be really soon," said Harrell.
There are several more schools recruiting the hard-nosed lineman but that have yet to offer. Florida Atlantic, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, South Carolina, South Florida, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt are schools that have all shown interest.
