Young Makes Choice

Tallahassee (FL) Rickards High School cornerback Tusun Young decided to commit to the school that gave him his first scholarship offer.

At the end of the day Tallahassee (FL) Rickards High School cornerback Tusun Young decided his first scholarship offer was "the" offer. Young has committed to UAB according to Rickards head coach Quintin Lewis.

The 6-foot-0 and 180-pound defensive back was also being recruited by Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Southern Miss and Western Kentucky. Young had also camped at Florida State and Kentucky this summer.

Last season, the rising senior, had 19 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. Young plans to improve in several areas during his senior year to help with the transition to college ball.

"The strengths of my game are my coverage skills and I feel like I am good tackler. There are some things that I need to work on like staying lower in my back pedal and playing lower. I also want to work on getting faster," said Young.
