LB Hutchinson Tackles 1st Offer

Jacksonville (FL) Atlantic Coach High School linebacker Travis Hutchinson recently received his first scholarship offer.

Jacksonville (FL) Atlantic Coast High School linebacker Travis Hutchinson recently received his first scholarship offer. Idaho extended Hutchinson is first scholarship offer last week according to the rising senior. The 6-foot-0 and 200-pound inside linebacker is excited about the offer and hopes it's the first of several.

"It felt really good to get the offer. It feels good to really get into the recruiting process. I am also hearing from FIU and FAU," said Hutchinson of his recruitment.

The productive Hutchinson, who had 94 tackles last year, kept busy attending football camps this summer.

"I've been to The Citadel, Samford and FIU for camp. I felt really good about The Citadel," said the linebacker.

Hutchinson believes he has the ability to play against the run and the pass equally well from his middle linebacker position.

"I am very good run stopper between the tackles but I can get back into coverage too," said excited Hutchinson. Last year he also caused five fumbles and recovered five more.
