Anxious to see Clemson

Tim Settle, one of the top defensive tackles in the class of 2015, has not visited Clemson yet. He would like for that to change.

A rising junior at Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Va., Settle isn't sure when exactly that will happen.

"But I will be making that trip," he told CUTigers earlier this week.

Clemson offered in May.

"I'm trying to go down there for a game, because I really like Clemson. It's one of my favorite schools," Settle said.

There are a few things that stand out about Clemson.

"I know they might win the ACC this year. I know that they have a great offense. I think, if I wanted to play for Clemson, they put defensive linemen out a lot," Settle said.

Alabama, Florida, Miami, UNC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma South Carolina, Tennessee, the Virginia schools and Wisconsin are among the many offers for Settle, who wouldn't offer a list of favorites.

"I think it's a little too early…I'm just going to stay open for now," he said.

Several factors will be considered as Settle weighs his options.

"When I go to a college, I want to see everything while I'm on campus. I want to see everything, not just sports," hle said. "I want to see academics. I want to see where I hang out. I want to see the players' dorms. I want to see everything.

"I want to see the history. That's really what is going to get me into them. That's going to make me want to come to your school again and visit again, keep visiting and bringing my family around."

Settle visited three campuses during the summer -- UNC, Virginia and Alabama.

"All the schools I've visited, I really like a lot. Right now, it's like a dog fight. They're all equal to me," he said.

As a sophomore, Settle had 75 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles and five pass breakups.
