Thomas Wilson took his time yo trim his extensive list of suitors down to the final trio, and he's taking that same approaching in making a final decision.
Each school in Wilson's final group has its own appeal, and the Buford High standout shared those thoughts with BlueGoldNews.comFOXSportsNEXT.
West Virginia - "I really like the coaches. I talk with Coach Lonnie Galloway and Coach Tony Gibson about every week. I can just tell they are really genuine people. They're in my top group mainly because of the relationships I've built with them."
North Carolina - "I visited them earlier in the summer and I really enjoyed the visit. I had my parents with me and they enjoyed it, too. It's just a really nice place and somewhere I could see myself playing at."
Missouri - "I haven't been able to visit them yet, but hopefully I can soon. It's a good school and they play in a great conference now. So I'm wanting to go there and learn even more about them."
While each individual school offers some attractive components for Wilson, West Virginia does appear to have an advantage in one area. The Mountaineers are leaving Wilson's position open for him to choose, while North Carolina and Missouri have one already already in mind.
"West Virginia wants to get me on campus and let me decide," the 5-foot-11, 180 pound athlete said about what position he'll play in college. "I know North Carolina wants me to play cornerback and Missouri wants me at safety."
"I don't have specific position I'd like to play, though," Wilson continued. "But it's big for me to be able to help decide because West Virginia wants to see how I can help and where I can help. I'll play wherever and it's cool they'll let me decide."
With his list now narrowed, Wilson will set his sights on upcoming official visits to each school.
"I'm working on setting all that up now," he said. "I want to visit West Virginia and Missouri especially since I haven't been there. I hope to have those dates set within the next month or so."
