Ballard is one of the more talented programs in the state of Kentucky this season. Returning leading rusher, Bennie Berry, is pointing towards making his final year a big one.

Last season Bennie Berry rushed for 961 yards and seven touchdowns. He caught 15 balls for 153 yards and two more touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound back is hoping to better those numbers this year.

"I'm looking forward to making big plays, scoring over 20 touchdowns and rushing for over 1000 yards. And I want to earn a division one scholarship," Berry said.

Berry is still in the early stages of recruiting going into his senior season. But he had a chance to work out for a few schools this summer.

"I attended camps at Illinois, Eastern Kentucky and Austin Peay," he said. "I think I did pretty good. At the Illinois camp is when I really got to show my talent," He said.

Despite his lack of offers right now, Berry is confident he'll pick up offers during the season.

"I've yet to pick up any offers. I know I am (going to get an offer), but I'm unsure of who," he finished.
