In-Depth: 2014 Minnesota Rankings

Minnesota has a talented group at the top this year, a group which features several kids who went out and proved themselves to be among the best in the country.

1. Jeffrey Jones, RB, Minneapolis Washburn
Good size (6'0, 190) and showed great footwork and burst this summer. He caught the ball well on the camp circuit as well. Currently committed to Minnesota, the Gophers may have to work to hang on to him, but it is clear he is a talented kid.

2. J.C. Hassenauer, C, East Ridge
Hassenauer helped himself this summer as much as anyone in the country. At various NIKE Camps and The Opening, he was excellent. He's tough and very technically sound. He earned an offer from Alabama at their summer camp and committed to the Tide shortly after.

3. Frank Ragnow, OG, Chanhassen
Ragnow plays offensive and defensive tackle in high school and he also had a good summer, adding a bunch of offers and attending many camps. We see his best fit potentially at guard though, where his strength would be an asset in the run game.

4. Reid Travis, QB, Minneapolis De La Salle
An excellent basketball player and prospect, Travis' height (6'7), athleticism and arm talent have earned him offers in football as well. The question is what will he play in college?

5. Andrew Stelter, DE, Owatonna
Stelter is a solid all around defensive lineman who plays with great motor. He's quick off the ball and made a number of plays in the backfield last year. He is committed to Minnesota.
