In-Depth: 2014 Kentucky Rankings

The state of Kentucky is strong at the top in the 2014 class, as there are three Scout 300 prospects and several others who are considered among the best at their position.

1. Matthew Elam, DT, Elizabethtown Hardin
Massive 6'6, 340-pound plugger who has earned offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Ohio State, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee and others.

2. Drew Barker, QB, Hebron Conner
After putting together a good junior season, Barker went out this summer and showed he belonged among the best at the Elite 11. The Kentucky commit has nice size and can throw on the move.

3. Reggie Bonnafon, QB, Louisville Trinity
This is a big year for him as he will play quarterback full time after playing wide receiver last year. Early returns on the Louisville commit have been good, so we will monitor hiim closely this fall.

4. Adrian Middleton, DT, South Warren
We like his upside and Middleton is a powerful, athletic kid at 6'4, 275-pounds. He must improve his technique and pad level, but the Kentucky commit has the tools to be a good one.

5. Lloyd Tubman, DE, Louisville Seneca
The Vanderbilt commit is a fluid athlete off the edge. He plays with good pad level and uses his quickness and closing speed to create pressure off the edge. He had a good NIKE Camp this summer.
