Kuhar Heads into Season Committed

6-foot-5, 270 pound tight end Kyle Kuhar is heading into his senior season at Avon Lake (OH) with his recruitment out of the way. Check out what Kuhar has to say about heading to Ohio as well as what he's looking forward to this season.

Avon Lake (OH) tight end Kyle Kuhar made his commitment to Ohio before heading back to school for his senior season. When it came time to make his decision, he says it was the academics that drew him to the school.

"Their Communications School is awesome, and that's what I want to study. They're on the rise to being a powerhouse in the MAC. I love their coaching staff. Also, their campus is top-notch. It's very beautiful and makes me feel at home."

Kuhar plans on heading back to his future home in the upcoming weeks.

"I will be taking my official visit on September 7th."

Now that he'll be a Bobcat, the tight end has become the school's newest recruiter.

"I've been hinting to the Ohio coaches that the fullback/tailback on my high school team, Collin Lucas, would be a good fit."

Kuhar says that having his decision out of the way before the season was something that he wanted to accomplish.

"It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, knowing that I don't have to worry about what college to go to or about recruiting anymore."

The senior is excited about being able to enjoy his final season.

"I'm looking forward to playing with my teammates and friends for one last season and hopefully doing something great."
