Mentor (OH) senior Kent Berger had a busy summer. The 6-foot-4, 220 pound defensive end spent a lot of time working to improve his overall game.
"I had a great summer. I was mostly focusing on getting faster, stronger and using my hands better on the line."
As nice as it is having time off from school, Berger is excited to get back on the field for one last go around in high school.
"I'm just ready to get going. Our first game is Friday, but I've been ready to start playing real games for months now!"
As for his recruitment, Berger committed to Ohio in May and doesn't regret his decision one bit.
"My relationship with Ohio is great. We are constantly exchanging messages on Facebook and we set up times for me to talk to all of the coaches on the phone. I couldn't be happier with my decision."
Berger plans on taking an official visit to Ohio, but isn't sure when. He also has been getting to know some of his fellow commits. As for his future team, he's optimistic about the Bobcats' 2013 season.
"Right now, they are picked to win the MAC, so the expectations are high."
