Brown Enjoys OSU in Reliant spoke with Alief Taylor wide receiver Keenen Brown after he encountered two wins this past weekend. First, his Taylor team came away with a 22-9 victory then he watched his future school in Oklahoma State win in Reliant Stadium. He spoke on this and more right here…

"I saw that lots of receivers get to play. I could see myself in that offense."

That was the words of Houston (TX) Alief Taylor wide receiver Keenen Brown after taking in some action at Reliant Stadium in Houston for the Advocare Texas Kickoff between Oklahoma State and Mississippi State

In the end it was Brown's future team, Oklahoma State, that came away with a 21-3 win on opening week in college football. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Brown got to take in the action from midfield in the stands, which gave him the opportunity to interact with fans.

"It was a nice atmosphere. I got the chance to talk with a few fans who were sitting near us," Brown said. "They were nice and I'm glad I got to interact with them. I was telling them that I wanted to be a Cowboy. I liked the way they got involved with the game."

As for that, Brown was able to see a number of things. Sure he saw the slow start, but also saw when the team made the plays down the stretch that lead to a win.

"The team started throwing the ball pretty good. And I like the different style they play with mixing the run and the pass," Brown said. "They put a lot of receivers on the field and that's nice."

Another element that Brown spoke of while watching that game from stands was the recruits who were near him. He said that he saw Trey Roberts from Eisenhower and sat next to Justin Phillips and his family, who are from Pearland.

"My dad was talking with his dad and I got to speak with Justin. He was cool and we talked about each other's games," Brown said.

In Brown's opening week with his team at Alief Taylor, he was the leading receiver with five catches for 81 yards in 22-9 win over Bellaire.
