Team (Record) City, ST

1 (2)
Booker T Washington Logo
Washington (2-0) Miami, FL

Washington had a week off to prepare for No. 1 Miami Central, and the Tornadoes put their time to good use knocking off the Rockets 28-17 in a game that lived up to the hype leading up to it. It's a short turnaround this week from Saturday to Wednesday, but Washington should be able to handle Carol City.

Last: Def No. 1 Miami Central 28-17
Next: 9/11 Carol City (1-1)
2 (3)
Saint John Bosco Logo
St. John Bosco (2-0) Bellflower, CA

The Braves have been methodically pounding opponents into submission including this week's victim Clovis North of Fresno. Bosco beat the visitors 48-7. The competition should step up a notch this week against Chandler of Arizona.

Last: Def Clovis North 48-0
Next: 9/14 Chandler (Ariz.) (2-0)

3 (1)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (1-1) Miami, FL

Miami Central might not be the No. 1 team in the country, but they're not far off. After losing to Booker T. Washington, the Rockets only fall to No. 3. Not far enough? Well, they'll have plenty of chances to prove themselves. Coral Reef is no cake walk, and then it's up to New Jersey to take on national power Don Bosco Prep.

Last: Lost to No. 2 Booker T. Washington 28-17
: 9/12 Coral Reef (2-0)
4 (5)
Paramus Catholic (1-0) Paramus, NJ

One of the more impressive performances of the season had to be the season opener for Paramus Catholic. Sure Gilman had already played two nationally ranked opponents and could have been banged up a bit, or maybe the Paladins are just that good.

Last: Def Gilman 28-0
Next: 9/14 @ Delbarton
5 (6)
Karr (1-0) New Orleans, LA

Karr got their season off to a good start with a convincing 34-12 win against a good St. Paul squad. The Cougars play one of the best schedules in Louisiana and take on No. St. Augustine this week before taking on 2012 FOX Sports National Champion John Curtis Christian on 9/26.

Last: Def St. Paul 34-12
Next: 9/13 @ No. 32 St. Augustine (1-0)
6 (7)
Allen Logo
Allen (2-0) Allen, TX

Allen's defense settled in and helped the Eagles to a solid win over No. 45 Cedar Hill 39-20. Allen has been impressive in the early going with double digit wins over both Cedar Hill and Southlake Carroll. Allen should put up a big number on Richardson this week.

Last: Def Cedar Hill 39-20
Next: 9/13 @ Richardson (1-1)
7 (10)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (2-0) De Soto, TX

DeSoto was expecting a better test against Tulsa Union, and the Eagles got one but still won handily. This week brings an always tough Trinity squad coming off an opening season loss to Jenks of Oklahoma.

Last: Def Union (Okla.) (44-20)
Next: 9/14 Trinity (0-1)
8 (25)
St. Joseph Regional (1-0) Montvale, NJ

The Green Knights didn't just beat No. 4 DeMatha, they pummeled them 42-14. One of the last states to kick off the season, St. Joseph attacked like a pack of caged dogs. New Smyrna Beach makes the trip north from Florida to try and cool down the Green Knights.

Last: Def No. 4 DeMatha 42-14
Next: 9/14 New Smyrna Beach (1-1)
9 (8)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (2-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle is giving the appearance that they're finally vulnerable this year. The Spartans won a close game over Serra of San Mateo 21-14, and St. Mary's of Stockton is a team that could upset De La Salle if they don't come together soon.

Last: Def Serra (San Mateo) (21-14)
Next: 9/13 @ St. Mary's (2-0)
10 (11)
Byrnes (2-0) Duncan, SC

We expected Byrnes to put up a big number on Woodruff, but an 82 point big number? Some of these football teams have higher combined scores than their basketball games. Byrnes faces a stiff challenge from Northwestern this week.

Last: Def Woodruff 82-49
Next: 9/13 @ No. 23 Northwestern (3-0)
11 (12)
Manatee logo
Manatee (2-0) Bradenton, FL

Manatee took out Baltimore's Gilman in its first game and will continue its march on the DC area as they host Friendship this week after having taken care of business against Venice.

Last: Def Venice 35-14
: 9/13 Friendship (1-0)
12 (15)
Hamilton (2-0) Chandler, AZ

There was no second half lapse this week as Hamilton looked like a more complete team against a good Brophy squad. The schedule eases up a bit in the next couple of weeks beginning with a good but beatable Pinnacle team.

Last:  Def Brophy Prep 26-9
Next: 9/12 Pinnacle (2-0)

13 (16)

Lamar (2-0) Houston, TX

Lamar really shouldn't be challenged until the playoffs. Fort Bend Elkins was no match last week, and West Brook shouldn't be one this week.

Last: Def Fort Bend Elkins 38-6
Next: 9/12 West Brook (2-0)
14 (18)
Katy Logo
Katy (2-0) Katy, TX

We thought Alief Taylor might give Katy at least a speed bump, but the Tigers rolled. Katy should roll this week against The Woodlands as well.

Last: Def Alief Taylor 49-0
Next: 9/14 The Woodlands (1-1)
15 (35)
Colerain (2-0) Cincinnati, OH

Colerain knocked off one giant this week when the Cardinals took down No. 17 St. Xavier, and they get another chance this week against national powerhouse Louisville Trinity.

Last: Def No. 17 St. Xavier 31-19
Next: 9/13 @ Louisville Trinity
16 (19)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (3-0) Ft. Lauderdale

University cruised to another easy win over Norland. But the Suns should find themselves in a more competitive game against Cypress Bay.

Last: Def Norland 57-12
Next: 9/12 @ Cypress Bay (1-1)
17 (20)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (2-0) Hoover, AL

Hoover stayed focused in beating an outmatched Hueytown team coming off of an emotional victory over Colquitt County. The Bucs should stomp Jackson-Olin this week.

Last: Def Hueytown 35-0
: 9/13 @ Jackson-Olin (1-1)
18 (21)
  Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (1-0) Bellevue, WA

The game we all wanted to see in 2012 still left us wishing it was 2012, as the 2013 version of Bellevue curbstomped Skyline 45-7 in a game that wasn't that close. With no out of state opponents and little in state competition, this could be a successful, but competitively boring 2013 campaign.

Last: Def Skyline 45-7
Next: 9/13 Bothell (1-0)
19 (22)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (2-0) River Ridge, LA

Curtis took a big step towards defending its 2012 FOX Sports National Championship with a win over New Jersey Heavyweight Bergen Catholic on FS1, but the road only gets tougher as St. Thomas Aquinas comes to town after having two weeks to prepare for the Patriots.

Last: Def Bergen Catholic 24-13
Next: 9/13 No. 37 St. Thomas Aquinas (1-0)
20 (23)
Oscar Smith (1-0) Chesapeake, VA

Oscar Smith was going to get a scare from Lake Taylor, right up to the point that they didn't. The Tigers were overwhelming in their opening game beating a very good Lake Taylor team into submission. Indian River is in big trouble this week.

Last: Def Lake Taylor 42-2
Next: 9/14 @ Indian River (0-1)
21 (32)
Brother Rice (2-0) Bloomfield Hills, MI

Btrother Rice's win over then No. 13 St. Ignatius looks even more impressive after St. Ignatius came back with an impressive win of their own against Mentor. The Warriors found the going a bit easier against St. John's Jesuit last week.

Last: Def St. John's Jesuit 49-7
Next: 9/13 @ Carman-Ainsworth (2-0)
22 (40)
Mater Dei (2-0) Santa Ana, CA

Mater Dei showed mercy on St. Paul only beating them 56-7. The Monarchs have showed themselves to be one of the more complete teams in the Southern Section strong on offense and defense early on.

Last: Def St. Paul 56-7
Next: 9/13 @ Carson (0-1)
23 (NR)

Northwestern (3-0) Rock Hill, SC

Northwestern has cruised through its early season schedule including a convincing win over usually strong Gaffney. The competition level is about to pick up in a big way as the Trojans host Byrnes this week.

Last: Def South Aiken 65-7
Next: 9/13 No. 10 Byrnes (3-0)
24 (47)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (1-1) Cleveland, OH

Maybe St. Ignatius was looking ahead to No. 9 Mentor when they stumbled against Brother Rice. They sure played Mentor like they had been their focus for nearly nine months. The Wildcats don't have to be focused 100% this week to still maul Strong Vincent.

Last: Def No. 9 Mentor 26-6
: 9/14 Strong Vincent (Pa.)
25 (24)
McEachern (2-0) Powder Springs, GA

McEachern had the week off after two convincing wins to open the season. The Indians should have little trouble with Pebblebrook this week.

Last: Off
Next: 9/13 Pebblebrook (2-0)
26 (13)
Serra (2-0) Gardena, CA

Serra took the second half off in their first game against Desert Ridge, and rallied furiously in the second half to come back against Oceanside last week. If the Cavaliers put together a complete game, they can be scary.

Last: Def Oceanside 50-39
Next: 9/13 Notre Dame (2-0)
27 (26)
North Gwinnett (2-0) Suwanee, GA

North Gwinnett has gotten off to a fast start against two of Georgia's best teams, and the Bulldogs will face another this week in Norcross after having the week off.

Last: Off
Next: 9/13 @ Norcross (1-1)

28 (27)
Centennial Logo
Centennial (2-0) Corona, CA

Defense? We don't need no stinkin' defense! The Huskies have given up 95 points in two games and are challenging the age-old adage of defense wins championships.

Last: Def St. Bonaventure 69-55
Next: 9/13 Long Beach Poly (1-1)
29 (29)
Punahou (3-0) Honolulu, HI

Punahou handled the travel schedule well. After beating Helix two weeks ago in San Diego, the Buff n Blue went home and took care of Damien. This week is a showdown with unbeaten Kamehameha

Last: Def Damien 48-0
Next: 9/14 Kamehameha (5-0)
30 (30)
Mount Carmel (2-0) Chicago, IL

Two games, two lopsided scores as the Caravan has rolled over St. Patrick and Morgan Park by a combined 89-8. Bishop McNamara may only make the 45-4 average score worse this week.

Last: Def Morgan Park 49-8
Next: 9/13 Bishop McNamara (2-0)
31 (31)
Coppell (2-0) Coppell, TX

Coppell went on the road and handled Boyd without too much difficulty. The Cowboys should blowout Rockwall this week.

Last: Def Boyd 49-24
Next: 9/13 Rockwall (1-1)

32 (33)

Saint Augustine (1-0) New Orleans, LA

St. Augustine found themselves in a battle with McDonogh 35 and the road only gets tougher this week against Karr.

Last: Def McDonogh 35 28-21
Next: 9/13 No. 5 Karr (2-0)
33 (17)
St. Xavier (1-1) Cincinnati, OH

Next: 9/13 @ No. 19 Curtis (2-0)
38 (42)
Archbishop Moeller (2-0) Cincinnati, OH

It's already been an up and down year for many of Ohio's top programs, but Moeller stands 2-0 after blowing out Covington Catholic of Kentucky. The Crusaders have an interesting matchup this week against St. Michael's College of Ontario, Canada.

Last: Def Covington Catholic 45-7
Next: 9/14 St. Michael's College (Ontario, CAN)
39 (NR)

Muskegon (2-0) Muskegon, MI

Muskegon found themselves down 6-0 at halftime to No. 34 Christian, but there's something to be said for halftime adjustments as the Big Red steamrolled Christian in the second half to finish with a 35-13 win. Muskegon gets another tough game against Rockford this week.

Last: Def No. 34 Christian 35-13
Next: 9/13 Rockford (2-0)
40 (9)
Mentor Football Logo
Mentor (1-1) Mentor (OH)

Mentor knocked St. Ignatius out of the playoffs last year and the Cardinals found themselves up against an extremely motivated team this year. Mentor should be able to rebound nicely against Euclid.

Next: 9/13 @ Euclid (0-2)

41 (NR)

Folsom (2-0) Folsom, CA

The Bulldogs beat No. 37 Granite Bay in convincing manner. Even more impressive was the game was at Granite Bay. A home date with Roseville is no gimmee, but the Bulldogs should win comfortably.

45 (46)

Cathedral Catholic (2-0) San Diego, CA

Last: Def Torrey Pines 10-0
Next: 9/13 @ Helix (1-1)
47 (NR)

Vista Murrieta (1-0) Murietta, CA
