Contini Checks Out Hoosier Program

Junior wide receiver Cory Contini has been putting up big numbers since being named a starter as a sophomore. College recruiters have noticed and he's been invited to attend games at several schools. Contini was at Indiana last weekend.

Cory Contini is a 2015 wide receiver prospect of note in Ohio, and the Dover product continues to put up big numbers on the field.

Contini, 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, is drawing recruiting attention from Big Ten and MAC schools, and he is in the process of taking unofficial visits. After previously visiting Michigan, Contini was at Indiana last weekend.

"I attended the Indiana-Navy game a week ago and had a great time," Contini stated. "We arrived early and had a chance to tour the campus, and it was beautiful. We also had an opportunity to speak with some students in the Kelley Business school at Indiana."

"Indiana has one of the top business programs in the nation and since I am interested in pursuing an accounting degree, this was very informative," he added. "I have also been invited back for another Indiana game and will see if I can fit that into my schedule."

"I have also been invited to attend a game at Buffalo and at Ball State, and I am in the process of scheduling those visits," he continued.

Contini is off to a great start to his junior season, after impressing last year as a sophomore.

"We are undefeated so far and we play Austintown Fitch this week," Contini explained. "So far, I've caught 20 passes for 450 yards and six touchdowns. I also have a 3.83 GPA, and I'm ranked in the Top-20 in my class academically."

As a sophomore, Contini finished with 74 receptions, 1,065 yards, and 8 touchdowns. He earned All Ohio, All Region, All District, and All League Honors.
