Eyeball test:
At 6-4, 205-pounds, Muehlstein easily passes the eyeball test for what you look for in a quarterback prospect.

Muehlstein showed his versatility on Friday night as Decatur beat previously unbeaten Wichita Falls Hirschi 45-29. Hirschi had only allowed a total of 7 points their last two contests. Muehlstein did it all on offense accounting for three of the Eagles scores. He threw for over 100 yards, ran for close to 100 and caught two passes for close to 80 yards which included a 46-yard touchdown reception. Muehlstein threw the ball well most of the night; displaying good accuracy on intermediate routes. Decatur didn't throw the ball much vertically. Muehlstein displays an excellent ability to avoid the rush and create plays with his feet. He needs to improve on throwing the ball out of bounds on some plays as to avoid sacks or turnovers. Overall, Muehlstein is a perfect fit for TCU's spread offense; he has a very strong arm and is durable and fast enough to create long yards on the ground.
