Brown "The Swamp Was The Loudest"

Cincinnati Winton Woods junior two-way lineman George Brown played well Friday night in a win over Columbus Watterson, then headed to Florida the next day for a recruiting visit. How did things go with the Gator program?

Junior lineman George Brown is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio, and the Cincinnati Winton Wooods athlete has the offer list to back up his hype.

Brown, 6-foot-6, 255-pounds, plays both sides of the ball for Winton Woods, but could project as an offensive tackle at the next level. He currently holds over 30 offers.

After checking out Georgia and Kentucky for home games this season, Brown was in Gainesville Saturday to witness Florida's victory over Tennessee.

"It was great being at Florida, and I have to say The Swamp was the loudest stadium I've ever heard," Brown stated. "The crowd was really into it and it was a great game to watch. I got to talk to Coach (Will) Muschamp before the game, and he was really cool to speak with."

"They are telling me they've been watching my film and they're impressed," he added. "They said they don't know what position they're recruiting me for, and different position coaches want me on their side of the ball. They didn't pressure me to commit, and it was laid back and very down to earth."

Brown was also able to spend time with a few other top prospects the Gators are recruiting. Florida obviously made quite an impression on the Ohio lineman.

"I hung out with other recruits like CeCe Jefferson and Jeffrey Holland, which was great," he continued. "I also speak with Byron Cowart, but he wasn't there yesterday. Those guys are all considering Florida like I am, and we all talk recruiting together. We talk about the schools we like."

"Florida definitely is high on my list, but after seeing a game there they blew up even more for me," Brown admitted. "I want to go back there again, but it probably won't happen until next summer."

Brown is considering several other potential unofficial visits, and he will be headed to ACC country next Saturday.

"I will be going to Clemson next weekend for their game with Wake Forest," he reported. "I'm really looking forward to seeing a game there, so that should a great visit."

"I will be visiting Michigan State for their game with Michigan, but that's a few weeks down the road," he said. "My dad has been talking with Urban Meyer about me visiting Ohio State, and I could be going there for a visit this year. We don't have a date set up right now for that, but Coach (Kerry) Coombs has told me they want me up at Ohio State this year for a game."
