Hall Visits Fighting Irish

Austintown Fitch is off to a great start in Ohio high school football, and junior tailback Darrin Hall is one of the primary reasons. College recruiters are well aware of his talents, and Hall was in South Bend last weekend checking out Notre Dame.

A night after rushing for nearly 250-yards and two touchdowns, Austintown Fitch junior tailback Darrin Hall headed to Notre Dame to watch the Fighting Irish defeat Michigan State.

Hall, 6-foot-, 205-pounds, holds 11 offers to date, including Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska and Purdue. He enjoyed his time in South Bend.

"I went to Notre Dame last Saturday and it was great being there," Hall stated. "It was against Michigan State and atmosphere was really amazing. Their fans were so in tune to the game that it made it a great experience for me. I would love to have an offer from Notre Dame."

"We got their early and it was pretty impressive seeing all the tailgating and how hyped up everyone was for the game," he added. "I spoke to the coaches and they just told me to be patient regarding an offer. They are in the process of evaluating the juniors, so that's where things stand. This is the first school I've visited this year, and that was a great way to start things off."

Hall will be headed to Ohio State this coming weekend for their game with Wisconsin. He did attend a game last year in Columbus.

"I'm going to Ohio State this weekend," Hall explained. "I've been talking to them this year and they want me to get down for a game. I was there last year, so I know what to expect from a game experience there. It's a great atmosphere, and Ohio State is another school I'd love to have an offer from. I'm looking forward to being there again."

Although nothing is scheduled yet, Hall is hoping to be able to attend a few more games this season at various schools.

"I usually set up my visits week by week, so I don't have anything set right now," he reported. "I'm definitely going to be visiting Penn State at some point this year. That would be the only other visit I know I will be taking this year, other than Notre Dame and Ohio State."

"It's still early in recruiting for me, and I'm still open to everyone at this time," he concluded.

Hall is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio and is currently listed as a four-star recruit.
