Five-foot-9, 195 pound senior Akili Taylor holds one offer from Kent State. This past weekend, the running back made his way to Eastern Michigan.
"I liked Eastern Michigan a lot. Coach (Mike) Hart (running backs) and coach (Brad) Wilson (offensive line) are both great guys. Just like their campus, the facilities are nice. I hope to go back in October," said Taylor.
While on campus, Taylor was able to speak with some of the staff.
"Coach Hart knew I had a pretty good game Thursday night so he asked to have the film. Once he has the film, I would assume we would take the next step," said the senior.
While he as at their game against Ball State, Taylor could not get over the atmosphere.
"The only way I could describe it is by saying that it felt like college football. I liked seeing the stands filled with green and white," he said.
So, how did the visit affect his view on the school?
"My visit made me more comfortable with the school. It related to my high school a lot but because it's small with a good football program," said Taylor.
