Young Talks Indiana Visit

Gainesville (Fla.) High wide receiver Kenric Young talks about his visit to Indiana this past weekend. The senior has now taken official visits to Iowa State and Indiana on back-to-back weekends.

Gainesville (Fla.) High School wide receiver/defensive back Kenric Young has been a jet-setter the last two weekends. Last weekend the 6-foot-2 and 175-pound receiver took his official visit to Indiana and took in their game against Missouri. The previous weekend the senior made an official visit to Iowa State to watch them play in-state rival Iowa.

"I loved it so much," said Young of his official visit to Indiana. "To be around the other recruits was great and to be around that fantastic stadium atmosphere. The coaching staff was up front and I loved the whole team."

The talented to receiver said he doesn't know who his last three official visits will go to but he has an impressive list of schools to choose from. Besides the Cyclone and Hoosiers offers Young also has offers from; Cincinnati, UConn, East Carolina, FAU, FIU, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Purdue, South Florida, Troy, UCF and Wisconsin among others. Duke and Florida have also been in contact with Young.

When ask where Indiana fits into his top five after the visit Young was cryptic.

"They're locked in. I don't know where but they're in it," said the receiver.

The senior is off to a good start on both sides of the ball. At wide receiver Young has snared nine passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns in three games. He has also returned two kickoffs for 71 yards. Young is also playing defensive back this year for Gainesville and has racked up 27 total stops so far this season.
