Triston Luke (5-foot-8, 180-pounds) has been one of the best backs in the western part of Kentucky this season. While Luke has picked up 680 yards and 12 touchdowns in five games, but he's expecting his team to improve as the season progresses.
"As a team we're not doing as well as we like to perform. We are still improving and have plenty of games throughout the season to get better," Luke said.
Luke, individually, has had such a big year because of his skill set and his desire on the field.
"I feel like a major strength of mine is my quickness and agility," Luke said, "as well as my determination as a football player.
"I'm a very durable running back. I spend a lot of carries earning hard yards in the center of the field," he continued.
That's a plus for the next level. While Luke is smallish, he plays much larger. There are a couple of schools who have shown interest in Luke's skills.
"I have not been on any visits. We had plans to visit Mississippi State this past weekend, but due to weather our game was post-poned and played Saturday. So I wasn't able to make it," Luke said.
"I have plans to visit Mississippi State and Florida State in the near future," he said. "I've received a few unofficial invites to games, but with the football season in full effect, I haven't been able to attend one yet."
Luke is still waiting to see about offers, but obviously it's still pretty early in the process for the junior.
"I'm not positive how close I am to any offers. But I'm working and prepared for the opportunity when it comes," he finished.
