Six Offers for Mitchell

Scout.com has the update on Central athlete Garrison Mitchell from Beaumont, Texas. He has had a good year so far through four games. Interestingly, he has shown lots of versatility so far. Being recruited for different position from different programs should work out well for him.

It was reported earlier this year that Beaumont (Tex.) athlete Garrison Mitchell was playing wide receiver for his high school team, but was being recruited to play in the secondary. Now going forward the set up in Beaumont works out greatly.

Four games into the season and Mitchell has great numbers on both sides, which should even more so show the college coaches his versatility.

"I'm playing offense and defense. I'm not sure what my numbers are there, but I have three interceptions on defense," Mitchell said.

After looking through some of the numbers online, it shows that the 6-foot-1, 187-pound Mitchell is the team's leading receiver with 12 catches for 238 yards and three touchdowns. That's an average of 20 yards per reception. On top of that, his three picks lead the team as well.

His play has already landed him a number of offers including ULM, Sam Houston, Lamar, Morgan State and Northwestern State. But here recently, another program stepped up.

"I got an offer from Tulane. That is my latest offer," Mitchell said.
