Scout's Take: Tucson (Az.) Salpointe

SW Analyst Jason Jewell breaks down the college prospects from a loaded Salpointe squad

Team: Tucson (Az.) Salpointe Catholic
Eval: Versus Tempe (Az.) Marcos de Niza on 9/27

#2 Jake Casteel - Sr. LB- 5-11 200- Just a fantastic football player. Flies around the field, gets to the QB, motor is always running. Doesn't have great size and that will hurt in his recruiting. Would be a great walk-on at a FBS school but should get recruited heavily at FCS/D2 level.

#3 Kevin Hamlett - Sr. S- 6-1 200- Big kids that are great students that come from good programs get recruited.

#5 Cameron Denson - Sr. WR/DB- 6-1 180- Cameron Denson should have Arizona fans excited with his commitment to the Wildcats. He is a smooth wide receiver that has the ability to take any play to the house. He really impressed me with his skills on defense. He moved from his normal corner spot to safety and made several big hits. He can play on either side of the ball in college.

#7 Kaelin Deboskie - Sr. WR- 5-9 170- Deboskie is lightning in a bottle. He is small in stature but quick as hiccup. Very shifty and is zero to full speed in just a few steps. Good hands and very good return man and DB but looks like he will be a slot in college.

#10 Andrew Cota - Sr. QB- 6-1 190- Flying way under the radar, he is a four-year starter that makes smart decisions with the football and wins games. Accurate passer and can run.

#19 Robert Wilson - Sr. WR- 6-5 210- Had been quiet prior to this game but had several nice grabs. Very good size makes him intriguing.

#22 Jacob Ksiazek - Soph. DE- 6-2 210- Starter. Young player with good size. If he continues to grow and develop, could be a D1 player.

#25 Jay Williams - Sr. DB/RB- 5-10 180- Another very sound and tough football player but doesn't have great size. Played safety exclusively last year but is team's starting RB.

#44 Taylor Powell - Jr. LB- 6-1 220- Makes plays! Smart football player that is going to be a 4 year varsity letterman. Always seems to be around the football. Has the looks of a D1 prospect.

#52 Austin Weaver - Sr. OL/DL-  6-2 245- Two-way starter with solid size.

#60 Brandt Davidson - Sr. DE/OT- 6-3 265- Big good looking prospect. I think Davidson will be a 3-tech in college or a 3-4 DE. Strong at point of attack. Also starts at LT and is a good offensive lineman.

#73 Breeon Auzenne - Sr. OL- 6-5 330- Massive! Plays RT now but he will move to guard in college where he can use his size to maul defenders. Big strong, road-grader.
