Commitment Progress Report

Several Ole Miss commits had their best game of the season last Friday. To find out more, read below.

Ole Miss Commitment Stats

Roderick Taylor

**Ole Miss commits WR Dayall Harris, S Ronald Walker, and OL Roderick Taylor have helped Jackson Callaway to their first 6-0 start in over 15 years as they defeated Germantown 12-7 last Friday.

Harris had 4 catches for 48 yards yards in the contest which brings his season total to 19 catches for 258 yards and four touchdowns. The nation's #28 ranked safety, Ronald Walker, was a force for Callaway's defense as he had 9 tackles, one sack, and recovered a fumble. He now has 46 tackles, two sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and an an 80 yard kickoff return through five games. Roderick Taylor led the ground attack for nearly 200 yards rushing and has yet to allow a sack playing left tackle this season.

Jackson Callaway (6-0) plays at Neshoba Central (1-5) tonight.

**Sophomore WR DeKaylin Metcalf and Oxford defeated West Point 30-20 last Friday to push their record to 5-0. The son of former All-American Terrence Metcalf has 17 catches for 246 yards through three games. he has missed the last two games due to a foot injury and it is not known yet if he will return for tonight's contest

Oxford (5-0) plays at Saltillo (5-1) tonight.


**Ole Miss commits RB Akeem Judd and CB Quintavious Knight have helped their team to the nation's #1 ranking in the junior college division. The 6-0 Bulldogs downed Iowa Western Community College 43-28 last week. Judd returned to action after missing the last two weeks due to an ankle sprain. He rushed the ball four times and gained a season best 59 yards. The 215-pounder now has 47 rushes for 189 yards in a injury riddled season. Knight chipped in three solo tackles and now has 13 tackles, 3 interceptions, 4 batted down balls in five games of action.

GA Military College (6-0) faces Ellsworth (2-3) Saturday.


Justin Conner

**North Panola was defeated by Calhoun City 32-16 last Friday. Ole Miss commit, TE Willie Hibbler, had one catch for 12 yards. The 6' 5", 220-pounder now has 12 catches for 349 yards and five touchdowns on the season while also rushing for another 84 yards. Ole Miss sophomore commit, Justin Conner, rushed the ball 16 times for a season best 138 yards. The sub 4.4 tailback now has 484 rushing yards and five touchdowns through six games.


North Panola (3-3) is at Holly Springs tonight.





**Bassfield saw their 20 game winning streak come to an end last Friday when they were defeated by Jackson Prep 27-20 in overtime. Ole Miss commit Calvin Moore was 8-13 for a season best 130 yards in the contest. The 3-Star CB is now 24-38 for 415 yards through six games.3-Star LB Alvin Moore held down the defensive side of the ball with ten tackles, one sack, and forced a fumble. A.J. has 43 tackles, six for loss, two safeties, 3 batted down balls, and three sacks through six games.

The Yellow Jackets (5-1) are at home against West Lincoln tonight.


**The nation's top kicker, Gary Wonderlich, punted the ball three times for a 48.7.2 yard average and missed a 57-yard field goal in MUS' win over Lafayette last Friday. For the season the Under Armour All-American has punted the ball 22 times for a 47.12 yard average. He has made all of PAT's and twenty three of his twenty four kickoffs have been downed in the end zone.

MUS faces (4-2) faces Christian Brothers at home tonight.

**Colquitt County (GA) DT Jamiyus Pittman broke his femur in the first quarter of the game last Friday and is expected to return to action in week nine for Colquitt County. He was having a monster season year as he recorded 32 tackles, 3sacks, and 7 tackles from behind the line of scrimmage in three games of action.

Alfred Dickens

**Olive Branch defeated Southaven 48-17 last Friday. LB Alfred Dickens recorded 11 tackles, two for a loss, two batted down balls, and also returned a pick for a 22-yard touchdown. He has now recorded double digit tackles in all five games he has played in. Through five games of action he has chipped in 55 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions, eight batted down balls, and forced two fumbles.

Olive Branch (5-1) travels to South Panola (5-1) tonight.



**Lafayette was defeated by MUS 35-7 last Friday to run their record to 3-3 on the season. Ole Miss commit D.K. Buford had 12 rushes for 33 yards and three receptions for 63 yards in the contest. In five games of action Buford has 487 rushing yards, 130 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns through six games.

Lafayette is at home tonight as they square off against Ripley..


**The nation's #49 rated O, Tyler Putman, had his season came to an end when he tore his ACL in his left knee in game one. He had a successful surgery and is expected to be ready for a two-a-days in August at Ole Miss.

**4-Star OG Andy Bauer had a successful surgery on his hip in August. He will miss the remainder of the high school season but his recovery time is quicker than most anticipated.

Bauer was selected to the Under Armour All-American game today with Coach Matt Luke in attendance.

**The nation's #10 ranked safety, C.J. Hampton helped Meridian to a 35-7 win over Jackson Jim Hill last Friday. Meridian has not posted their defensive stats since game two. He was recently selected to the Army All-American game.

Victor Evans

**The nation's #36 rated defensive end, Victor Evans, had a sack and two tackles for loss in Dallas Skyline's 42-28 win over Dallas Jesuit last Friday. For the season the rush end now has 28 tackles, 71/2 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss in four games of action this year.

Skyline (3-1) faces Lake Highlands tonight.






**Sandy Creek and the nation's #49 rated defensive tackle, Chris Williams, defeated Fayette County 54-19 last Friday. The Ole Miss commit had to sit out the game due to an ankle injury. He now has 11 tackles and two sacks through three games of action.

Sandy Creek (GA) (3-0-1) faces Troup County (GA )tonight.

**Florence (Ala) and Ole Miss commit Kendrick Doss suffered a 25-20 loss to Oxford (Ala) last Friday. Doss scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 12-yard run with just a little over 5:00 minutes to play before Auburn commit Racean Thomas ran for a 70-yard touchdown for the winning score. The Ole Miss commit added 63 yards rushing and was 13-of-25 passing for 144 yards with one interception. Through fives games of action he has passed for over 900 yards, rushed for over 280, and has twelve total touchdowns.

Florence (3-2) travels to James Clemens tonight.


**Ole Miss commit Jeremy Liggins and N' East CC were defeated by MS Gulf Coast CC 28-14 last Friday. Jeremy Liggins played QB for N' East CC for the second game in a row. He was 6-12 for 89 yards including a 56-yard touchdown to Khalil Stinson in the 4th quarter. The former Lafayette All-State quarterback also played played quarterback against N' West CC when he passed for 154 yards, rushed for 80 yards and had a total of 4 touchdowns in the second half alone. The first three games he played defensive end and chipped in 14 tackles, 3.5 for loss, and one sack.

N' East CC faces Coahoma CC Saturday

**Ole Miss TE commit Sammie Epps and Greenwood played to a 0-0 tie to Wilkinson County last Friday. The 4-Star tight end has 11 receptions for 295 yards and three touchdowns through four games. Last Friday's stats are not available yet.

Greenwood (4-1-1) is at Yazoo City tonight.

Charles Standberry

**Ole Miss tight end commit, Charles Standberry, had a season high 8 catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in their 50-21 win over Tri Cities (GA) last Friday. For the season the nation's #32 rated tight end has 21 catches for 270 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

**Ole Miss junior 4-Star commit RB Raleigh Williams and Bishop Lynche (TX) suffered their first loss of the season in a 17-13 defeat to Bishop Dunne. The 200-pound back had 118 yards rushing which brings his season totals to 39 carries for 400 yards on the season.

**LB DeMarques Gates is still waiting to get cleared from an offseason knee surgery. The nation's #34 rated outside linebacker recorded a 132 tackles as a junior.
