Hatton Has Strong Interest in Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech reached up to Montvale, New Jersey to sign St. Joseph Regional receiver Ricky Jeune in the 2013 class. Tech is now looking at his former teammate and 2015 offensive lineman Tommy Hatton.

Hatton keeps in touch with Tech on a regular basis on Facebook and through the mail. "Coach (Mike Sewak) came up for my spring game just to see me play. I also talk to Coach (Bryan) Cook, and Coach (Paul) Johnson."

Tommy had some interest in Georgia Tech and Jeune got Hatton even more interested. "I love the fact that they run a lot and that they are always looking for great offensive linemen."

Tommy took notice when Jeune committed to Tech and Jeune talked to Hatton about how much he likes it there. "It just got me interested in Georgia Tech that much more. He tells me the football is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the coaches are great." The schools location in Atlanta makes Tech even more attractive to Hatton.

A trip to Tech following the season is in the works for Tommy. He could get some good news at that time. "I feel that I will get an offer from them at that time." Will that offer lead to a commit from Hatton? "I won't lie to you and say no. There is a chance I could. I really like Georgia Tech that much."

Hatton is also hoping to visit some other schools. "When I make the trip to Georgia Tech, we also want to check out schools down south like Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech." On the way back home, visits to Northwestern, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State are possibilities.

Tech feels that center and guard would be the best place for Hatton. Tommy feels center would be the ideal place. "Right now I am 6' 2 1/2" and weigh 280 pounds so I have two more years of growing to do before I get to college."
