Per the Colorado High School Athletics Association website, 2014 Cherry Creek running back Nathan Starks, "has been granted eligibility to play football immediately following a ruling by an arbitrator during a binding arbitration hearing."
Starks' reinstatement is part of what has become a very good week for the talented running back as it comes on the heels of his being selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Starks who rushed for over 1,800 yards last season for national prep power Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas, should help an already very good Cherry Creek squad potentially contend for a 5A title.Currently Cherry Creek, 5-1, has three more regular season games. If the Bruins can run the table, they should gain a good spot in the top half of the 5A playoff bracket.
With this issue resolved it will be interesting to see if Starks'recruitment again heats up and he now becomes the top uncommitted player in the state of Colorado.
