Orange Lutheran (6-0) @ No. 8 St. John Bosco (6-0) 7PM Live Stream: Prepzone
St. John Bosco is ranked No. 8 nationally in the FOX Top 50, and had their most impressive performance of the year in their 56-12 dismantling of Santa Margarita last week. Bosco's 5-Star junior quarterback Josh Rosen has certainly played up to the advanced billing the last couple of weeks while three way playmaker Jaleel Wadood (Cal) has been a highlight reel in his own right. Bosco over a dozen D1 prospects on the field. Here is a look at more of them: St. John Bosco Prospects
Orange Lutheran moved up to No. 14 in the CIF-SS Top 20 after knocking off previously undefeated JSerra in convincing fashion. The headline recruit for Orange Lutheran is rangy defensive end Keisean Lucier-South, who is rated the No. 2 defensive end in the nation for the Class of 2015. Quarterback Luke Langdon has been a magician running the triple option this season.
Prediction: The triple option could give St. John Bosco some trouble early, but the Braves have the speed and playmakers on defense to control the Lancer running game. I don't know that the Lancers have the size and speed on defense to deal with the massive Bosco front line and speedy playmakers. Bosco wins.
Diamond Ranch (5-1) @ Diamond Bar (5-2) 7PM Live Stream: Prepzone
Diamond Ranch features big offensive lineman Kammy Delp (6'4/280) as the anchor of their offensive line. He has helped senior Will Bryan rush for roughly 125 yards per game on the season.
Diamond Bar's top playmakers are in the junior class including Snoop Dog's son Cordell Broadus who is the No. 6 receiver in the Class of 2015 and defensive back prospect Kanya Bell who is also a junior.
Prediction: Diamond Ranch's powerful offensive line and running game wears down Diamond Bar and the Panthers come out on top.
Lakewood (3-3) @ Long Beach Poly (6-1) 7PM Live Stream: Prepzone
Some of the players in Southern California are so good they go by one name.
JuJu is one of those guys. Juju Smith is one of the top playmakers on both sides
of the ball in the country for Long Beach Poly. He and 5-Star junior cornerback
Iman Marshall form the best defensive back tandem in the nation.
Most of the players who would have been at Lakewood now star at St. John Bosco, but linebacker Jared Joseph will get a lot of action. Joseph has offers from Nevada and UTEP.
Prediction: This one isn't going to be close, but seeing Poly play is always entertaining with the size and speed they have all over the field. This one may be over by halftime, but there will be plenty of big plays worth checking out.
Palos Verdes (4-2) @ Mira Costa (4-2) 7PM Live Stream: Prepzone
This should be the best game of the night in the battle for the Bay League. The winner of this game is in the driver's seat for the Bay League Championship. Mira Costa is coming off of a big win against West Torrance last week, and Palos Verdes has won three in a row since dropping a heartbreaking one point loss at Newport Harbor.
Prediction: Both of these teams are trending in the right direction. Both of these teams want to run the ball. This game will be won by whoever runs the ball and protects the ball better. I like Mira Costa at home, but this is going to be a pick 'em.
