Top Performers - Defensive Linemen

Our weekly look at some of the top JUCO defensive line performances from last week takes us all over the country, but we start with Holmes DE Eric Hilton who had a huge game in the Bulldogs' 17-14 win over Northwest Mississippi...

Holmes DE Eric Hilton - Hilton was all over the place for Holmes last week, totaling 11 tackles (seven solo), six tackles-for-loss and 3.5 sacks the Bulldogs' 17-14 win over Northwest Mississippi. So far this season, the talented pass-rusher has 7.5 sacks to go along with 32 tackles (15 solo) and 12 tackles-for-loss.

Hutchinson DT Jeremiah Ledbetter - Ledbetter totaled 12 tackles, one sack and two tackles-for-loss in the Blue Dragons' 58-0 win over Independence. So far this season, the freshman has totaled 34 tackles, four sacks and six tackles-for-loss.

Hutchinson DE Marquavius Lewis - Another outstanding freshman for the Blue Dragons, Lewis racked up 11 tackles, four tackles-for-loss and one sack in their 58-0 win over Independence.

Northwest Mississippi DT Demetrius Farmer - The freshman posted nine tackles (four solo) and 1.5 tackles-for-loss in the Rangers' 17-14 loss to Holmes last weekend. Farmer ranks second on the team with 49 tackles and 2.5 sacks and is tied for the team lead with 8.5 tackles-for-loss.

Southwest Mississippi DT Terrien Steele - Steele is another freshman having a big season in the MACJC. So far, while playing in six of his team's seven games, he has totaled a team-leading 40 tackles (24 solo) as well as two tackles-for-loss including a 10 tackles (eight solo) effort in the Bears' 48-7 loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast last week.

Scottsdale DT Calvin Heurtelou - In the Artichokes' 51-14 win over Glendale last weekend, Heurtelou posted eight tackles (four solo), one sack and one tackle-for-loss. The sophomore, who has quite a few offers to his name, has posted 36 tackles (23 solo), one sack, nine tackles-for-loss and two fumble recoveries this season.

Tyler DE Will Coleman - Coleman posted eight tackles (all solo) and one sack in the Apaches' 49-23 win over Cisco. This season, the sophomore has posted 47 tackles, three sacks and two tackles-for-loss.

North Dakota State College of Science DE Tre'von Williams-Brown - Williams-Brown had 11 tackles (eight solo), one sack, 6.5 tackles-for-loss, a blocked field goal and two quarterback hurries as the Wildcats got a 41-38 win over Ellsworth last weekend.

ASA DE Monte Taylor -In the Avengers' 27-0 win over Lackawanna, Taylor, a freshman, posted four tackles (three solo), two sacks and two tackles-for-loss.

Georgia Military DE Kenderius Whitehead - The freshman had a solid game in GMC's 45-22 win over Nassau last weekend, posting four tackles (three solo), two sacks and three tackles-for-loss. While playing sparingly in all eight of the Bulldogs' eight games, Whitehead has posted 21 tackles (18 solo), 5.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles-for-loss and two forced fumbles.

Merced DT Sione Tongamoa - Tongamoa had 14 tackles (seven solo), 3.5 sacks and four tackles as Merced downed Sac City by a score of 38-27.

Sacramento DE Sheldon Callender - Callender had seven tackles (three solo), two sacks and two tackles-for-loss in the Panthers' 38-27 loss to Merced..

Sacramento DT David Weider - Weider had nine tackles (four solo), 1.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles-for-loss in the Panthers' 38-27 loss to Merced.

Feather River DE Brandon Boykins - The sophomore had 10 tackles (eight solo) and a tackle-for-loss in the Golden Eagles' 53-24 win over Yuba last weekend.

Pasadena DE Dale Pierson - Pierson had four tackles (two solo), two sacks and two tackles-for-loss in Pasadena's 45-10 loss to Golden West.

Palomar DE Dylan Donahue - The freshman had nine tackles (four solo), three tackles-for-loss and two sacks in Palomar's 23-10 loss to Cerritos last weekend. This season, Donahue has been a real terror off the edge for the Comets posting seven sacks to go along with 40 tackles (25 solo) and 10 tackles-for-loss.
