Penny will take visits after the season

Norwalk (Calif.) running back Rashaad Penny is having a strong senior season and is showing why he's one of the top backs in the west region this year.

At the mid-way point of the season, few backs have been better than Rashaad Penny. The athlete has rushed for 1,098 yards and 22 touchdowns while flashing a nice combination of speed and power.

Penny is a true game breaker who can hit the home run but can also run between the tackles. He's versatile enough to split out wide and is also a talented safety. Running back is his best position obviously and he has very nice upside to him.

On the recruiting front, Penny has a handful of offers and is hearing from a couple of new schools are showing more attention as well. The back said he's planning to take his official visits after the season is over.

"I just want to focus on my season right now," Penny said. "That's why I want to wait until after the year before I take any trips but I have some good options right now. I probably talk with San Diego State the most, they're recruiting me hard and they're standing out the most to me right now.

"I'm also talking with Nevada, Fresno State, San Jose State, Washington and Bosie State. Washington and Boise State haven't offered yet but they're both high on me and I would love to visit them both. Boise State just got involved and see really high on me so hopefully I can take a visit there for sure."
