Calhoun Still Waiting It Out

The Golden Eagles are always looking for future help in the trenches, and they are tracking a good one in Restoration Academy (Fairfield, AL) DL/OL Deion Calhoun.

Deion Calhoun is a man of few words who let's his play on the field do all the talking for him.

Calhoun currently holds six offers from Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Alabama State, Southern Miss, Western Kentucky, and Furman.

Those six have remained steady for him from the end of the summer up until this point in the season.

"No sir, there is nothing new in recruiting for me," Calhoun told tonight.

"I'm still hearing from the same six that offered me before."

He says he is still hearing from the Golden Eagles on a regular basis.

"Yes sir, they still contact me," he said. "I'm very interested but I probably won't take my visit until after the season is over."

Calhoun has let us know in the past that his interests have remained the same and the Golden Eagles are right in the mix.

"I'll make my decision after everything is said and done with my season here. I don't want it to be a distraction," he said.

For now, he'll keep terrorizing offensive and defensive lines that line up across from him. He's having a great season so far and says that both offensive and defensive coaches are calling him wanting him on either side of the ball.

"Wherever they need me, I'll play," said Calhoun.

Keep a close eye on this talented prospect as the season continues on.
