Name: Joe Mixon
School: Oakley (Calif.) Freedom
Position: Running Back
Size: 6-1, 205-pounds
Class: 2014
Recruitment: Top schools include Oklahoma, Wisconsin, California, Florida State, UCLA and Washington Ranking: Five-star, #5-ranked running back prospect nationally

Game Scouted: Freedom vs. Brentwood (Calif.) Heritage

Freedom five-star running back Joe Mixon came into the game with a tweaked ankle, which he further irritated on the opening kickoff.

But that didn't stop him.

Mixon ran for over 100 yards, despite running against a constantly stacked box and had two touchdown runs, including the game winner on 4th and goal from the one in the final minute where he jumped over the pile for the score.

Mixon got the scoring started on the first drive of the game, taking a screen pass, making one cut up the middle and taking it to the end zone.

Mixon's burst was somewhat lacking because of the ankle, but he still got good yardage after contact and still broke a number of tackles.

Mixon did nothing to change the fact that he's the top running back in the West.

Here are some game highlights of Mixon in action.
