Four-star Junior Offered On Visit

Jefferson City (MO) junior Hale Hentges took his first trip to Ohio State this past weekend and received an offer while on campus.

2015 Jefferson City (MO) Helias four-star prospect Hale Hentges took his first trip to Ohio State this past weekend. He discussed his positive experience and what his first thoughts were about the Buckeyes.

"It was really fun," said Hentges. "I loved everything about Ohio State. The atmosphere was amazing and the fan support there is top notch. Coach (Urban) Meyer was real personable. I enjoyed talking with him. The atmosphere was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'll definitely be visiting again and hope to make it back in the Spring to see some more of the university and find out other things I didn't get to this time."

"I also really liked the facilities," he continued. "The weight room and the locker rooms are outstanding. They are really set up for success there."

Hentges received an offer from Ohio State while on campus. He's listed as a defensive end but the Buckeyes like him at tight end.

"Coach Meyer said that he appreciated me coming," stated Hentges. "He said that he loved my tape. He just wanted me to know that Ohio State was going to be doing big things. He didn't offer me but Coach (Tim) Hinton did. They collaborated on it."

"Coach Hinton told me that I can be used in big ways there," he added. He really likes my frame. I can be a big part of their offense in the future according to him."

The junior from Missouri discussed where Ohio State stands with him.

"They are definitely at the top with some other schools," confirmed Hentges. "Ohio State is right there. I've got a list of about five but I'm not comfortable in revealing them yet."

Hentges will visit Missouri this weekend and also has a scheduled trip to see Wisconsin in late November.
