QB looking for home

Ocala Vanguard quarterback Adam Robles is looking for his college home. This senior signal caller is having a fantastic final season.

Adam Robles is a talented quarterback that has really come into his own this fall. Robles, 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, has thrown for over 2,000 yards, 21 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

"Adam has had a hell of a year for us," said Alex Castaneda, Vanguard's coach. "He is a great pocket passer with a great release and arm. He's not a runner. He's a pure thrower. I just can't understand why he has not generated more attention."

If you combine this season and last year he has thrown for over 4,000 yards and 43 touchdowns. A big concern could be his size. He has grown from 5-foot-10 to 6-feet one season. This past off-season he grew from 6-feet to 6-foot-2.

"Certainly that was a problem before but shouldn't be now," Castaneda said. "The problem now is that everyone has a quarterback. But everyone that comes through here really like him. They are all just stuck. This kid has a great understanding of the game and a beautiful throwing motion. He can play college football.

I know Florida has asked him to walk-on but he knows he can do better than that. I just can't understand it."
