Scout.com's Ahmard Vital received confirmation on Thursday. "Romello Brooker committed to Houston last night," Vital informed.
The news was then verified by sources within the Alief Taylor program, a school that has produced an abundance of division one talent in recent years.
The sources at the school cited a strong relationship with Houston wide receivers coach Brandon Middleton, who actually played at Elsik.
When reflecting back on his recruitment Brooker informed Vital, "Houston was my first offer so that's big to me. And it's close to home."
Brooker, who is currently rated as a Scout.com two-star, is in the middle of strong senior, season. He has averaged an astonishing 28 yards per catch, collecting 12 passes for 334 yards and four scores.
