MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update Week Eleven

The playoff push continues for most Mississippi State 2014 football commitments. Many Bulldogs to be punched their post season tickets last night. A few others still have some work to do, while the season is over for others.

The four star running back turned in another workman like effort last night with 227 yards and five touchdowns on 23 carries in a 76-50 win over New Hope Last night.

Now winners of four straight, West Point is playing for post season seeding now.

The Green Wave (6-4) will take on Lewisburg in the regular season finale.

Dontavian Lee scored three touchdowns and ran for 99 yards on just seven carries in a 48-21 win over Northeast Jones.

The win secured the #2 spot and a first round home playoff game for the Aggies (8-2) who will host Florence next week as the 4A post season begins.

Nick Fitzgerald and Richmond Hill clinched their own #2 region spot and first round home game with a 41-21 win over Jenkins.

In the game, Fitzgerald ran for 105 yards and two scores on eleven carries and threw for another touchdown.

Next week, Fitzgerald may see some pine time in the second half as his team hosts winless Windsor Forest.

A win for the 8-1 Wildcats would secure the best regular season record in the history of the program.

Deshon Cooper and Columbia secured their own playoff berth in style last night with a 76-35 thrashing of Stone Mountain.

The Eagles (6-4) appear locked in as a #3 seed which would have them on the road in week one playoff action.

Darius Liggins and Oxford were again victorious as they shelled Center Hill 56-27.

Oxford (10-0) will close out the regular season as region champs and the top seed with a win over Lake Cormorant on senior night next Friday.

Sean Rawlings and MRA got back on track with an impressive 48-6 rout of Hillcrest Christian.

Now 7-3, MRA will host Heritage in the regular season finale next week before learning their own post season destination.

Lashard Durr returned a punt 36 yards for a touchdown to stake Harrison Central to a two score lead, but the Red Rebels could not hold the lead as St. Martin came from behind to win 14-10.

Harrison Central (6-4) will host Hancock this week needing a win and a little help to get into the 6A playoffs.

Chris Rayford and Byhalia saw their regular season come to a close with a 50-13 loss to Lafayette.

BHS ends the regular season at 3-6.

Logan Cooke had four kickoffs for touchbacks and a 49 yard punt in Columbia Academy's 49-20 loss to Presbyterian Christian.

CA (3-6) will travel to Copiah Academy to close out the 2013 slate next week.

Braxton Hoyett and Pelham took it on the chin last night as Shades Valley rolled 55-20.

Despite the loss, Pelham (6-4) earned a playoff spot and will be on the road to Fairhope next week in first round action.

Jordan Harris and Stephenson take on Mays High today.

All other 2014 MSU commitments have completed their seasons.

Other names of Bulldog interest

MSU 2016 commitment Jonathan Pollock and Dr. Phillips continue to roll over the competition.

A 42-14 win over Freedom High brings the Dr. Phillips to 9-0 with a huge match up with Winter Park (8-1) looking next week.

MSU 2017 commitment Anthony Hines and Episcopal School of Dallas will put their 5-2 mark on the line later today when they take on St.Mark's.

Rosa Fort's Brandon Bryant led Rosa Fort to a 22-13 win over Senatbobia securing the region championship and the #1 seed in the playoffs.
