How many linebacker can run a true sub 4.4 in this day of age? Alvin Moore certainly can as he consistently ran a sub 4.4 forty all spring and summer whether it was at the Ole Miss (4.38), MSU (4.32), or Nike camps in New Orleans (4.4) or Memphis(4.38).
It is not only his straight ahead speed that makes him so explosive. When you take into consideration that he has cornerback quickness (4.08 short shuttle) this allows him to change directions and explode through the hole in a hick up. When you watch the film below you can notice how quickly he can burst through the hole.
Speed and athleticism is a key factor for anyone's game that wants to play in the SEC one day but you also have to be tough as nails. This is where A.J. shines the most. He has the knack to get off of his blocks so fast and then when he makes contact, Moore punishes you.
The Bassfield native, in our eyes, has that 5-Star talent you covet. His size, 6' 1", 200, makes him a little undersized for the linebacker position but you have to remember he just turned 18 years old. Also take into consideration that the Rebels' outside linebackers and huskies are all in this range whether you are talking about Antonio Conner, Serderius Bryant, or Denzel Nkemdiche. But give A.J. a couple years in a college weight program and he will be a 225-pound man eater.
Don't be surprised if you see this young man have a long career in the league
