UL Head Coach Mark Hudspeth and his staff continued its strong recruiting efforts this week hosting another quality group of recruits on campus during Thursday's nights nationally televised game on ESPN.

The Cajuns began the month offering East Mississippi DE Jimmie Gipson (6'0,255). Gipson ranks in the top five in the nation in sacks with 11.5 heading into the MACJC Championship game Saturday the 8th.

Coach Hudspeth made offers to several highly ranked members of the 2015 Class beginning with Four-star #9 DT T.D. Moten (6'4,310) from Shreveport Woodlawn HS, Four-star #32 WR Derrick Dillon (5'11,165) from Franklinton Pine HS and Three-star #37 WR Daylon Charlot (6'0,180) from Patterson High . Dillon and Moten left last weekend's homecoming game with offers in hand.

The staff landed Co-Lin JC OL David Adams last month and several of his teammates came in for the Troy game Thursday night, Jacob Fleming (6'5,295) and Nick Luckey (6'3,280). Fleming attended the Ragin' Cajuns 2012 summer camp while at North Pike, in McComb, MS. and has been staying in contact with the staff since he enrolled at Co-Lin JC. Luckey is a guard/center prospect that has some interest in Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns program.

Another athlete enrolled at Co-Lin JC is former 2012 signee D'Quan Andrews (6'3,280), former Farmerville HS DT. Andrews visited for homecoming weekend and spoke to us about his future plans which include honoring his commitment to UL. We will have an update on Andrews soon.

The staff welcomed in 2014 Four-star #18 DE Davon Godchaux (6'4,271) from Plaquemine HS to Cajun Field Thursday night for the Troy game on ESPN. Godchaux along with Edna Karr's Four-star #4 DE Gerald Willis (6'4,270) are the top two uncommitted DL in Louisiana, both have visited UL this past week.

Two local future stars in the 2015 from Loreauville HS, Three-star WR Rhashid Bonnette (6'0,175) and DB Tyiren Anthony (5'11,170) traveled up the Lafayette for Thursday night's game against Troy. Coach Hudspeth has targeted Bonnette in his recruiting efforts and he could be close to receiving an offer from UL.

Two more local athletes, WR Mandell Sam (6'0,180) and Christian Boutte (5'11, 185) a Memphis commitment from Opelousas also visited Cajun Field Thursday night. Sam is getting interest from Louisiana Tech recently after visiting Memphis with teammate Boutte earlier in the season.
