Cardinals hosting impressive group

Louisville football welcomes large group of prospects for weekend visits

University of Louisville head coach Charlie Strong and his staff are hosting a large group of prospects for the Saturday night game at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Among the large group are more than a half of dozen currently committed to U of L and a handful of priority targets.

Multiple states are well represented. Ohio should have the largest contingent, with at least 10 from the Buckeye State expected. Included in that group is four-star defensive tackle Daniel Cage of Cincinnati Winton Woods.

Cardinal running back commit Daniel Gresham of Fort Worth, Tx., All Saints Episcopal School is traveling the longest distance.

A pair of notable 2015 in-state prospects are also expected to visit. Covington Holmes defensive lineman Breandon Johnson, a preseason Tri-State honorable mention selection, and four-star linebacker Emmitt Smith of Bowling Green Warren Central will both visit this weekend.

Following the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Lukayus McNeil on Thursday, the Cardinals 2013 recruiting class is now 26 strong. To view the updated list of commitments click here.

The class currently ranks 14th in the Team Rankings. U of L's class ranks 3rd in the ACC, trailing only Florida State and Miami.
