Polk enjoys weekend visit

3-star wide receiver Cameron Polk attended Louisville's game on Saturday night

Ranked among the Scout.com Indiana Top 10, Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern wide receiver Cameron Polk made an unofficial visit with his future team over the weekend.

"I was down there for the game," Polk told Cardinal Authority. "I liked it. It was a close game, so it was pretty exciting throughout. They pulled out the 'W,' so that's all that matters."

Polk was part of a large group of prospects, many current commits, that visited for Saturday nights game at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Polk enjoyed his time meeting some of his future teammates and looks forward to begin working with them in the future.

"We keep in contact a little bit, but I can tell that we'll really click when we all get down there," he said. "We're all working towards the same goal, so that should come pretty easy."

After enjoying the Cardinals victory, Polk spent time visiting with coaches.

"I didn't get a chance to talk to Coach Strong, but I talked with Coach Bedford and Coach Dugans after the game for a little bit. Since I'm graduating early, they were telling me to enjoy the rest of my time in high school and to keep working out, and staying on top of it."

A three-star prospect, Polk anticipates enrolling early at U of L and beginning classes in January.

"I'll get a little head start," he explained. "You never really know what can happen your freshman year, but I'm just excited to get down there and start working out with them, hopefully gain some weight and build up my speed."
