Both came unexpected.
"I got my two offers on the same day back during spring practice. It was funny because it all happened at the same time and i was surprised by both offers. Both schools stopped by back in the spring and offered me," said Dillard.
Since the offers, one school has stayed in regular contact with Dillard.
That school leads.
"I really like Marshall right now. They run the spread, they get the ball to their receivers, and they spread the ball out to their guys that make plays a lot too.
"I talk to Coach [Thomas] Brown a lot and we have a good relationship as well. Marshall is my top school right now and I want to get up there for a visit as soon as I can."
The 6-foot-3, 185 pound junior out of Lovejoy (Ga.) has some strengths and areas he wants to improve in.
"I am a big receiver and I play in the slot, so I get good match-ups. I use my speed and size against linebackers and safeties to my advantage. I am wanting to improve my route-running and my overall speed the most."
Lovejoy hosts Lowndes Friday in the second round of the Georgia State playoffs.
