Decision Date Set

Four-star Washington (PA) running back Shai McKenzie has taken two of his official visits so far. He has two more scheduled in December before he makes his college choice.

Washington (PA) running back Shai McKenzie is headed towards the final stretch of his recruitment. He's taken two official visits and has two more remaining before he makes a college choice.

"I have already visited Florida State and Virginia Tech," said McKenzie. "I'm just looking to see how I fit in at each college. I want to see what kind of feeling I get at each place. The relationship I have with the players, the coaches, and the campus will be important."

"Both visits to Florida State and Virginia Tech were positive," he added. "I got what I needed out of each one and it was fun at both places. I'm just focused on the next two now."

McKenzie has official visits scheduled to Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech the first two weeks of December.

"I will be visiting Pittsburgh the weekend of December 6," confirmed McKenzie. "The following weekend I will be taking an official visit to Georgia Tech."

"I know that Pittsburgh just took another commit at the running back position but it does not affect me," he continued. "I'll still be making my official visit to see them."

McKenzie told Scout that he has a decision date in mind and will be choosing between four schools.

"I will be making my college choice on December 20th and will be picking from Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, and Florida State."

Shai McKenzie is rated as a four-star prospect and the nation's 18th best running back for the 2014 class.
